2 When Facing Hardship, Recite This Special Prayer :
(Surah Al-A'raf (07), Verse 126)
رَبَّنَآ أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَتَوَفَّنَا مُسْلِمِينَ
Rabbanaaa afrigh 'alainaa sabranw wa tawaffanaa muslimeen
Our Lord! Pour patience upon us, and grant us to die as Muslims.
(Surah Al-A'raf (07), Verse 126)
When poverty, hardship, or distress befalls us, we should not lose hope or deviate from the right path. Instead, we should turn to Allah and seek His help with this supplication.
"Pharaoh's magicians prayed this supplication to seek protection from Pharaoh."
At Pharaoh's command, a group of magicians gathered to defeat Musa (Moses), as Pharaoh, in his ignorance, believed Musa to be merely a great sorcerer.
When the magicians, obeying Pharaoh’s orders, threw their ropes onto the ground, the ropes transformed into slithering snakes.
Then Allah commanded Musa (A.S.) to cast his staff (Asa), and when he did, it turned into a mighty python that swallowed all the magicians' snakes.
Enraged, Pharaoh threatened to execute all the magicians. But the magicians, being wise, immediately recognized the truth that Musa was not a sorcerer but a true Prophet of Allah, and what they witnessed was a divine miracle.
Defying Pharaoh’s threats, they laughed at his tyranny, bowed down in prostration (Sajdah), and affirmed their faith in Allah. In that state of submission, they prayed the above-mentioned dua, seeking patience and protection from Pharaoh’s oppression.
