بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

bis-millahir-rahmanir-rahim

In the Name of Allah, the All-merciful, the All-compassionate

[00:07.00]

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah: (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

[00:18.00]

اَللّٰھُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَسْئَلُكَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ الَّتِیْ وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَیْئٍ

allahumma in-ni as-aluka bi-rah-matikal-lati wasi`at kul-la shay

O Allah, I ask You by Your mercy, which embraces all things;

[00:29.00]

وَبِقُوَّتِكَ الَّتِي قَهَرْتَ بِهَا كُلَّ شَيٍْء

wa bi-qu-watikal-lati qahar-ta biha kul-la shay

And by Your strength, through which You dominatest all things,

[00:36.00]

وَ خَضَعَ لَھَا كُلُّ شَیْئٍ

wa khada`a laha kul-lu shay

And toward which all things are humble

[00:42.00]

وَّ ذَلَّ لَھَا كُلُّ شَیْئٍ

wa dhal-la laha kul-lu shay

And before which all things are lowly;

[00:49.00]

وَ بِجَبَرُوْتِكَ الَّتِیْ غَلَبْتَ بِھَا كُلَّ شَیْئٍ

wa bi-jabarutikal-lati ghalab-ta biha kul-la shay

And by Your invincibility through which You overwhelmest all things,

[00:56.00]

وَّ بِعِزَّتِكَ الَّتِیْ لَا یَقُوْمُ لَھَا شَیْئٌ

wa bi`izzatikal-lati la yaqumu laha shay

And by Your might, which nothing can resist;

[01:03.00]

وَّ بِعَظَمَتِكَ الَّتِیْ مَلَاَتْ كُلَّ شَیْءٍ

wa bi`azamatikal-lati mala-at kul-la shay

And by Your tremendousness, which has filled all things;

[01:09.00]

وَّ بِسُلْطَانِكَ الَّذِیْ عَلٰی كُلَّ شَیْءٍ

wa bisul-tanikal-ladhi `ala kul-la shay

by Your force, which towers over all things;

[01:16.00]

وَّ بِوَجْھِكَ الْبَاقِیْ بَعْدَ فَنَاۤءِ كُلَّ شَیْءٍ

wa bi-waj-hikal-baqi ba`da fana-i kul-li shay

And by Your face, which subsists after the annihilation of all things,

[01:23.00]

وَّ بِاَسْمَاۤئِكَ الَّتِیْ مَلَاَتْ اَرْكَانَ كُلِّ شَیْءٍ

wa bi-as-ma-ikal-lati malat ar-kana kul-li shay

And by Your Names, which have filled the foundations of all things;

[01:31.00]

وَّ بِعِلْمِكَ الَّذِیْ اَحَاطَ بِكُلِّ شَیْءٍ

wa bi`il-mikal-ladhi ahata bikul-li shay

And by Your knowledge, which encompasses all things;

[01:37.00]

وَّ بِنُوْرِ وَجْھِكَ الَّذِیْ اَضَاۤءَلَہٗ كُلُّ شَیْءٍ

wa bi-nuri waj-hikal-ladhi ada-a lahu kul-lu shay

And by the light of Your face, through which all things are illumined!

[01:45.00]

یَا نُوْرُ یَا قُدُّوْسُ یَا نُوْرُ یَا قُدُّوْسُ یَا نُوْرُ یَا قُدُّوْسُ

ya nuru ya qud-dus,ya nuru ya qud-dus,ya nuru ya qud-dus

O Light! O All-holy!

[02:07.00]

یَا اَوَّلَ الْاَوَّلِیْنَ

ya aw-walal-aw-walin

O First of those who are first

[02:13.00]

وَ یَا اۤخِرَ الْاۤخِرِیْنَ

wa ya a-khiral-a-khirin

And O Last of those who are last!

[02:19.00]

اَللّٰھُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِیَ الذُّنُوْبَ الَّتِیْ تَھْتِكُ الْعِصَمَ

allahumma-igh-fir liyadh-dhunubal-lati tah-tikul`isam

O Allah, forgive me those sins which tear apart safeguards!

[02:30.00]

اَللّٰھُمَّ اغْفِرْلِیَ الذُّنُوْبَ الَّتِیْ تُنْزِلُ النِّقَمَ

allahumma-igh-fir liyadh-dhunubal-lati tunzilun-niqam

O Allah, forgive me those sins which draw down adversities!

[02:41.00]

اَللّٰھُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِیَ الذُّنُوْبَ الَّتِیْ تُغَیِّرُ النِّعَمَ

allahumma-igh-fir liyadh-dhunubal-lati tughy-yirun-ni`am

O Allah, forgive me those sins which alter blessings!

[02:48.00]

َاَللّٰھُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِیَ الذُّنُوْبَ الَّتِیْ تَحْبِسُ الدُّعَاۤءَ

allahumma-igh-fir liyadh-dhunubal-lati tah-bisud-du’a

O Allah forgive me those sins which hold back supplication!

[02:55.00]

اَللّٰھُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِیَ الذُّنُوْبَ الَّتِیْ تَقْطَعُ الرَّجَاۤءَ

allahumma-igh-fir liyadh-dhunubal-lati taq-tau'r-raja

O Allah forgive me those sins which cut down the hopes!

[02:59.00]

اَللّٰھُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِیَ الذُّنُوْبَ الَّتِیْ تُنْزِلُ الْبَلَاۤءَ

allahumma-igh-fir liyadh-dhunubal-lati tunzilul-bala

O Allah, forgive me those sins which draw down tribulation!

[03:04.00]

اَللّٰھُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِیْ كُلَّ ذَنْبٍ اَذْنَبْتُہٗ وَ كُلُّ خَطِۤیْئَۃٍ اَخْطَاْتھَا

allahumma-igh-fir liya kul-la dham-bin adhnabtuhu wa kul-la khati-atin akh-tatuha

O Allah, forgive me every sin I have committed and every mistake I have made!

[03:15.00]

اَللّٰھُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَتَقَرَّبُ اِلَیْكَ بِذِكْرِكَ

allahumma inni ataqarrabu ilayka bi-dhik-rik

O Allah, verily I seek nearness to You through remembrance of You,

[03:22.00]

وَ اَسْتَشْفِعُ بِكَ اِلٰی نَفْسِكَ

wa as-tash-fiu' bika ila naf-sik

And I seek intercession from You with Yourself,

[03:27.00]

وَ اَسْئَلُكَ بِجُوْدِكَ اَنْ تُدْنِیَنِیْ مِنْ قُرْبِكَ

wa as-aluka bi-judika an tud-ni-yani min qur-bik

And I ask You through Your munificence to bring me near to Your proximity,

[03:33.00]

وَ اَنْ تُوْزِعَنِیْ شُكْرَكَ

wa an tuzi`ani shuk-rak

And to provide me with gratitude toward You

[03:37.00]

وَ اَنْ تُلْھِمَنِیْ ذِكْرَكَ

wa an tul-himani dhik-rak

And to inspire me with Your remembrance.

[03:41.00]

اَللّٰھُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَسْئَلُكَ سُؤَالَ خَاضِعٍ مُتَذَلِّلٍ خَاشِعٍ اَنْ تُسَامِحَنِیْ وَ تَرْحَمَنِیْ

allahumma in-ni as-luka suala khadii'm-mutadhal-lilin kha-shii'n an tusamihani wa tar-hamani

O Allah, verily I ask You with the asking of a submissive, abased and lowly man to show me forbearance, to have mercy on me

[03:58.00]

وَ تَجْعَلَنِیْ بِقِسْمِكَ رَاضِیًا قَانِعًا وَ فِیْ جَمِیْعِ الْاَحْوَالِ مُتَوَاضِعًا

wa taj-`alani bi-qasamika radiyan qani`n wa fi jamii'l-ah-wali mutawadi`aa

And to make me satisfied and content with Your appointment and [make me] humble in every state.

[04:11.00]

اَللّٰھُمَّ وَ اَسْئَلُكَ سُؤَالَ مَنِ اشْتَدَّتْ فَاقَتُہٗ

allahumma wa as-aluka suala manish-tad-dat faqatuh

O Allah, I ask You the question of one whose indigence is extreme,

[04:19.00]

وَ اَنْزَلَ بِكَ عِنْدَ الشَّدَاۤئِدِ حَاجَتَہٗ

wa anzala bika i'ndash-shada-idi hajatahu

And who has stated to You in difficulties his need

[04:25.00]

وَ عَظُمَ فِیْمَا عِنْدَكَ رَغْبَتُہٗ

wa `azuma fima i'ndaka ragh-batuhu

And whose desire for what is with You has become great.

[04:29.00]

اَللّٰھُمَّ عَظُمَ سُلْطَانُكَ وَ عَلٰی مَكَانُكَ

allahumma `azuma sul-tanuka wa `ala makanuk

O Allah, Your force is tremendous, Your place is lofty,

[04:41.00]

وَ خَفِیَ مَكْرُكَ وَ ظَھَرَ اَمْرُكَ

wa khafiya mak-ruka wazahara am-ruk

And Your plan is hidden, Your command is manifest,

[04:51.00]

وَ غَلَبَ قَھْرُكَ وَ جَرَتْ قُدْرَتُكَ

wa ghalaba qah-ruka wa jarat qud-ratuk

And Your domination is overwhelming, Your power is unhindered

[05:01.00]

وَ لَا یُمْكِنُ الْفِرَارُ مِنْ حُكُوْمَتِكَ

wa-la yum-kinul-firaru min huku-matik

And escape from Your governance is impossible.

[05:07.00]

اَللّٰھُمَّ لَا اَجِدُ لِذُنُوْبِیْ غَافِرًا

allahumma la ajidu lidhunubi ghafira

O Allah, I find no forgiver of my sins,

[05:17.00]

وَ لَا لِقَبَاۤئِحِیْ سَاتِرًا

wa-la liqaba-ihi satira

Nor concealer of my ugly acts

[05:21.00]

وَّ لَا لِشَیْئٍ مِّنْ عَمَلِیَ الْقَبِیْحِ بِالْحَسَنِ مُبَدِّلًا غَیْرَكَ

wa-la lishayim-min `amali-yal-qabihi bil-hasani mubad-dilan ghayrak

Nor transformer of any of my ugly acts into good acts but You

[05:30.00]

لَا اِلٰہَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ

la ilaha il-la anta

There is no god but You!

[05:35.00]

سُبْحَانَكَ وَ بِحَمْدِكَ

sub-hanaka wa biham-dika

Glory be to You, and Thine is the praise!

[05:41.00]

ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِیْ ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِیْ ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِیْ

zalam-tu naf-si,zalam-tu naf-si,zalam-tu naf-si

I have wronged myself,

[06:01.00]

وَ تَجَرَّاْتُ بِجَھْلِیْ

wa tajar-ratu bijah-li

And I have been audacious in my ignorance

[06:04.00]

وَ سَكَنْتُ اِلٰی قَدِیْمِ ذِكْرِكَ لِیْ وَمَنِّكَ عَلَیَّ

wa sakan-tu ila qadimi dhik-rika li wa man-nika `alay

And I have depended upon Your ancient remembrance of me and Your favour toward me.

[06:10.00]

اَللّٰھُمَّ مَوْلَایَ

allahumma maw-lay

O Allah! O my Protector!

[06:13.00]

كَمْ مِنْ قَبِیْحٍ سَتَرْتَہٗ

kam-min qabihin satar-tah

How many ugly things You hast concealed!

[06:17.00]

وَ كَمْ مِنْ فَادِحٍ مِنَ الْبَلَاۤءِ اَقَلْتَہٗ

wa kam-min fadihim-minal-bala-i aqal-tah

How many burdensome tribulations You hast abolished!

[06:22.00]

وَكَمْ مِنْ عِثَارٍ وَقَیْتَہٗ

wa kam-min i'thariw-waqaytah

And how many stumbles You hast prevented!

[06:27.00]

وَ كَمْ مِّنْ مَّكْرُوْہٍ دَفَعْتَہٗ

wa kam-mim-mak-ruhin dafa`tah

And how many ordeals You hast repelled!

[06:31.00]

وَ كَمْ مِنْ ثَنَاۤءٍ جَمِیْلٍ لَسْتُ اَھْلًا لَہٗ نَشَرْتَہٗ

wa kam-min thana-in jamilil-las-tu ah-lal-lahu nashar-tah

And how much beautiful praise, for which I was unworthy, You hast spread abroad!

[06:38.00]

اَللّٰھُمَّ عَظُمَ بَلَاۤئـِیْ

allahumma `azuma balai

O Allah, my tribulation is tremendous,

[06:44.00]

وَ اَفْرَطَ بِیْ سُوْۤء حَالِیْ

wa af-rata bi suo-u hali

And my bad state is excessive,

[06:50.00]

وَ قَصُرَتْ بِیْ اَعْمَالِیْ

wa qasurat bi a`mali

And my acts are inadequate,

[06:55.00]

وَ قَعَدَتْ بِیْ اَغْلَالِیْ

wa qa`adat bi agh-la-li

And my fetters have tied me down,

[07:01.00]

وَ حَبَسَنِیْ عَنْ نَفْعِیْ بُعْدُ اَمَلِیْ

wa habasani `an-naf-e'e bu`a-du a-ma-li

And my far-fetched hopes have held me back from my gain

[07:07.00]

وَ خَدَعَتْنِیْ الدُّنْیَا بِغُرُوْرِھَا وَ نَفْسِیْ بِجِنَایَتِھَا وَ مِطَالِیْ

wa khada`at-nid-dunya bi-ghururi-ha wa naf-si bi-jinayatiha wa mita-li

And this world with its delusions, my own soul with its offences and my delay have deceived me.

[07:25.00]

یَا سَیِّدِیْ فَاَسْئَلُكَ بِعِزَّتِكَ اَنْ لَّا یَحْجُبَ عَنْكَ دُعَاۤئـِیْ سُوْۤءُ عَمَلِیْ وَ فِعَالِیْ

ya say-yidi fa-as-aluka bi-i'z-zatika an la yah-juba `an-ka du`aa-i suo-u `amali wa fi`ali

O my Master! So I ask You by Your might not to let my evil works and acts veil my supplication from You,

[07:40.00]

وَ لَا تَفْضَحْنِیْ بِخَفِیِّ مَا اطَّلَعْتَ عَلَیْہِ مِنْ سِرِّیْ

wa-la taf-dah-ni bi-khafi-yi mat-tala`ta `ailayhi min sir-ri

And not to disgrace me through the hidden things You knowest of my secrets

[07:47.00]

وَ لَا تُعَاجِلْنِیْ بِالْعُقُوْبَۃِ عَلٰی مَا عَمِلْتُہٗ فِیْ خَلَوَاتِیْ

wa-la tu`ajil-ni bil-u'qubati `ala ma `amil-tuhu fi khalawati

And not to hasten me to punishment for what I have done in private:

[07:55.00]

مِنْ سُوْۤءِ فِعْلِیْ وَ اِسَاۤئَتِیْ

min suo-i fi`a-li wa isa-ati

My evil acts in secrecy and my misdeeds

[08:02.00]

وَ دَوَامِ تَفْرِیْطِیْ وَ جَھَالَتِیْ

wa dawami taf-riti wa jahalati

And my continuous negligence and my ignorance

[08:07.00]

وَ كَثْرَۃِ شَھْوَاتِیْ وَ غَفْلَتِیْ

wa kath-rati sha-hawati wa ghaf-lati

And my manifold passions and my forgetfulness.

[08:13.00]

وَ كُنِ اللّٰھُمَّ بِعِزَّتِكَ لِیْ فِیْ كُلِّ الْاَحْوَالِ رَؤُوْفًا

wa kunil-lahumma bi-i'z-zatika li fi kul-lil-ah-wali ra’ufa

And by Your might, O Allah, be kind to me in all states

[08:22.00]

وَ عَلَیَّ فِیْ جَمِیْعِ الْاُمُوْرِ عَطُوْفًا

wa `alay-ya fi jamii'l-umuri `atufa

And be gracious to me in all affairs!

[08:27.00]

اِلٰھِیْ وَ رَبِّیْ مَنْ لِیْ غَیْرُكَ اَسْئَلُہٗ كَشْفَ ضُرِّیْ وَ النَّظَرَ فِیْ اَمْرِیْ

ilahi wa rab-bi mal-li ghayruka as-aluhu kash-fa dur-ri wan-nazara fi am-ri!

My God and my Lord! Have I any but You from whom to ask removal of my affliction and regard for my affairs!

[08:49.00]

إِلَهِي وَمَوْلاي أَجْرَيْتَ عَلَيَّ حُكْماً اتَّبَعْتُ فِيهِ هَوَى نَفْسِي،

ilahi wa maw-laya aj-rayta `alay-ya huk-mant-taba`tu fihi hawa naf-si

My God and my Protector! You put into effect through me a decree in which I followed the caprice of my own soul

[09:00.00]

وَ لَمْ اَحْتَرِسْ فِیْہِ مِنْ تَزْیِیْنِ عَدُوِّیْ

wa lam ah-taris fihi min tazyini `adu-wi

And [I] did not remain wary of adorning my enemy.

[09:06.00]

فَغَرَّنِیْ بِمَا اَھْوٰی وَ اَسْعَدَہٗ عَلٰی ذٰلِكَ الْقَضَاۤءُ

fa-ghar-rani bi-ma ah-wa wa as-`adahu `ala dha-likal-qada

So he deluded me through my soul's caprice and therein destiny favoured him

[09:16.00]

فَتَجَاوَزْتُ بِمَا جَرٰی عَلَیَّ مِنْ ذٰلِكَ بَعْضَ حُدُوْدِكَ

fa-taja-waztu bi-ma jara `alay-ya min dha-lika ba`da hududik

So, in what was put into effect through me in that situation, I transgressed some of Your statutes

[09:25.00]

وَ خَالَفْتُ بَعْضَ اَوَامِرِكَ

wa khalaf-tu ba`da awamirik

And disobeyed some of Your commands.

[09:28.00]

فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلَیَّ فِیْ جَمِیْعِ ذٰلِكَ

falakal-huj-jatu `alay-ya fi jamii' dhalik

So Thine is the argument against me in all of that

[09:34.00]

وَ لَا حُجَّۃَ لِیْ فِیْمَا جَرٰی عَلَیَّ فِیْہِ قَضَاۤؤُكَ

wa-la huj-jata li fima jara `alay-ya fihi qadauka

I have no argument in what Your destiny put into effect through me therein

[09:42.00]

وَاَلْزَمَنِیْ حُكْمُكَ وَ بَلَاۤؤُكَ

wa alzamani huk-muka wa balauk

nor in what Your decree and Your tribulation imposed upon me.

[09:47.00]

وَ قَدْ اَتَیْتُكَ یَا اِلٰھِیْ بَعْدَ تَقْصِیْرِیْ وَ اِسْرَافِیْ عَلٰی نَفْسِیْ

wa qad ataytuka ya ilahi ba`da taq-siri wa is-rafi `ala naf-si

Now I have come to You, My God, after my shortcoming and my immoderation toward myself,

[09:59.00]

مُعْتَذِرًا نَادِمًا

mu`a-tadhiran-nadiman

Proffering my excuse, regretful,

[10:05.00]

مُنْكَسِرًا مُسْتَقِیْلًا

mun-kasiram-mus-taqilama

Broken, apologizing,

[10:11.00]

مُسْتَغْفِرًا مُنِیْبًا

mus-tagh-firam-muniban

Asking forgiveness, repenting,

[10:16.00]

مُقِرًّا مُذْعِنًا مُعْتَرِفًا

muqir-ram-mudhi'nam-mu`a-tarifa

Acknowledging, submissive, confessing.

[10:22.00]

لَا اَجِدُ مَفَرًّا مِمَّا كَانَ مِنِّیْ

la ajidu mafar-ram-mim-ma kana min-ni

I find no place to flee from what occurred through me,

[10:27.00]

وَ لَا مَفْزَعًا اَتَوَجَّہُ اِلَیْہِ فِیْ اَمْرِیْ

wa-la mafza'an atawaj-jahu ilayhi fi am-ri

Nor any place of escape to which I may turn in my affairs,

[10:33.00]

غَیْرَ قَبُوْلِكَ عُذْرِیْ وَ اِدْخَالِكَ اِیَّایَ فِیْ سَعَۃِ رَحْمَتِكَ

ghayra qabulika u'dhri wa id-khalika i-yaya fi sa'tim-mir-rah-matik

Other than Your acceptance of my excuse and Your entering me into the compass of Your mercy.

[10:46.00]

اَللّٰھُمَّ فَاقْبَلْ عُذْرِیْ

allahumma faq-bal u'dhri

O Allah, so accept my excuse,

[10:52.00]

وَارْحَمْ شِدَّۃَ ضُرِّیْ

war-ham shid-data duri

Have mercy upon the severity of my affliction

[10:56.00]

وَ فُكَّنِیْ مِنْ شَدِّ وَثَاقِیْ

wa fuk-kani min shad-di wathaqi

And release me from the tightness of my fetters,

[11:03.00]

يَا رَبِّ ارْحَمْ ضَعْفَ بَدَنِي وَرِقَّةَ جِلْدِي وَدِقَّةَ عَظْمِي

ya rab-bir-ham da`fa badani wa riq-qata jil-di wa diq-qata `azmi

My Lord, have mercy upon the weakness of my body, the thinness of my skin and the frailty of my bones.

[11:28.00]

یَا مَنْ بَدَءَخَلْقِیْ وَ ذِكْرِیْ وَ تَرْبِیَتِیْ وَ بِرِّیْ وَ تَغْذِیَتِیْ

ya mam bada khal-qi wa dhik-ri wa tar-bi-yati wa biri wa tagh-dhi-yati

O You who gave rise to my creation, to the remembrance of me, to the nurture of me, to goodness toward me and to nourishment on me,

[11:37.00]

ھَبْنِیْ لِاِبْتِدَاۤءِ كَرَمِكَ وَ سَالِفِ بِرِّكَ بِیْ

hab-ni lb-tida-i karamika wa salifi bir-rika bi

Bestow upon me for the sake of Your having given rise [to me] with generosity and Your previous goodness to me!

[11:44.00]

یَا اِلٰھِیْ وَ سَیِّدِیْ وَ رَبِّیْ

ya ilahi wa say-yidi wa rab-bi

O Allah, my Master and my Lord!

[11:49.00]

اَ تُرَاكَ مُعَذِّبِیْ بِنَارِكَ بَعْدَ تَوْحِیْدِكَ

aturaka mu`adh-dhibi binarika ba`da taw-hidik

Canst You see Yourself tormenting me with Your fire after I have professed Your Unity

[11:56.00]

اَ تُرَاكَ مُعَذِّبِیْ بِنَارِكَ بَعْدَ تَوْحِیْدِكَ

wa ba`da man-tawa `ailayhi qal-bi mim-ma`rifatik

And after the knowledge of You my heart has embraced,

[12:03.00]

وَ لَھِجَ بِہٖ لِسَانِیْ مِنْ ذِكْرِكَ

wa lahija bihi lisani min dhik-rik

And the remembrance of You my tongue has constantly mentioned

[12:08.00]

وَاعْتَقَدَہٗ ضَمِیْرِیْ مِنْ حُبِّكَ

wa a`taqadahu zamiri min hub-bik

And the love of You to which my mind has clung,

[12:14.00]

وَ بَعْدَ صِدْقِ اعْتِرَافِیْ وَ دُعَاۤئِـیْ خَاضِعًا لِرُبُوْبِیَّتِكَ

wa ba`da sid-qi-`a-tirafi wa du`aa-i khadi`aal-li-rububi-yatika

And after the sincerity of my confession and my supplication, humble before Your lordship?

[12:23.00]

ھَیْھَاتَ اَنْتَ اَكْرَمُ مِنْ اَنْ تُضَیِّعَ مَنْ رَبَّیْتَہٗ

hayhata anta ak-ramu min an tuday-yi`a mar-rab-baytah

Far be it from You! You art more generous than that You shouldst squander him whom You hast nurtured,

[12:31.00]

اَوْ تُعْبِدَ مَنْ اَدْنَیْتَہٗ

aw tub-i'da man ad-naytah

Or banish him whom You hast brought nigh,

[12:35.00]

اَو ْتُشَرِّدَ مَنْ اٰوَیْتَہٗ

aw tushar-rida man a-aytah

Or drive away him whom You hast given an abode

[12:40.00]

اَوْ تُسَلِّمَ اِلَی الْبَلۤاۤءِ مَنْ كَفَیْتَہٗ وَ رَحِمْتَہٗ

aw tus-s-lima ilal-bala-i man kafay-tahu wa rahim-tah

Or submit to tribulation him whom You hast spared and shown mercy.

[12:47.00]

وَ لَیْتَ شِعْرِیْ یَا سَیِّدِیْ وَ اِلٰھِیْ وَ مَوْلَایَ

wa layta shi`a-ri yay say-yidi wa ilahi wa maw-lay

Would that I knew, my Master, My God and my Protector,

[12:58.00]

اَتُسَلِّطُ النَّارَ عَلٰی وُجُوْہٍ خَرَّتْ لِعَظَمَتِكَ سَاجِدَۃً

atusal-litun-nara `ala wujuhin khar-rat li-`azamatika sajidah

Whether You wilt give the Fire dominion over faces fallen down prostrate before Your Tremendousness,

[13:10.00]

وَ عَلٰی اَلْسُنٍ نَطَقَتْ بِتَوْحِیْدِكَ صَادِقَۃً وَ بِشُكْرِكَ مَادِحَۃً

wa `ala al-sunin-nataqat bi-taw-hidika sadiqataw-wa bishuk-rika madihah

And over tongues voicing sincerely the profession of Your Unity and giving thanks to You in praise,

[13:22.00]

وَ عَلٰی قُلُوْبٍ اِعْتَرَفَتْ بِاِلٰھِیَّتِكَ مُحَقِّقَۃً

wa `ala qulubin-`a-tarafat bi-ilhi-yatika muhaq-qiqah

And over hearts acknowledging Your Divinity through verification,

[13:29.00]

وَ عَلٰی ضَمَاۤئِرَ حَوَتْ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ بِكَ حَتّٰی صَارَتْ خَاشِعَۃً

wa `ala dama-ira hawat minal-i'l-mi bika hat-ta sarat khashi`ah

And over minds encompassing knowledge of You until they have become humble

[13:38.00]

وَ عَلٰی جَوَارِحَ سَعَتْ اِلٰی اَوْطَانِ تَعَبُّدِكَ طَاۤئِعَۃً وَ اَشَارَتْ بِاسْتِغْفَارِكَ مُذْعِنَۃً

wa `ala jawariha sa't ila aw-tani ta'b-budika ta-i`ataw-wa asharat bis-tigh-farika mudhi'nah

And over bodily members speeding to the places of Your worship in obedience and beckoning for Your forgiveness in submission.

[13:53.00]

مَا ھٰكَذَا الظَّنُّ بِكَ وَ لَا اُخْبِرْنَا بِفَضْلِكَ عَنْكَ

ma hkadhaz-zan-nu bika wa-la ukh-bir-na bi-fadlika `anka

No such opinion is held of You! Nor has such been reported - thanks to Your bounty — concerning You,

[14:02.00]

یَا كَرِیْمُ یَا رَبِّ

ya karimu ya rab

O All-generous! My Lord,

[14:05.00]

وَ اَنْتَ تَعْلَمُ ضَعْفِیْ عَنْ قَلِیْلٍ مِّنْ بَلَاۤءِ الدُّنْیَا وَ عُقُوْبَاتِھَا

wa anta ta`lamu da`fi `an qalilim-min bala-id-dun-ya wa u'qubatiha

And You knowest my weakness before a little of this world's tribulations and punishments,

[14:15.00]

وَ مَا یَجْرِیْ فِیْھَا مِنَ الْمَكَارِہِ عَلٰی اَھْلِھَا

wa ma yaj-ri fiha minal-makarihi `ala ah-liha

And before those ordeals which befall its inhabitants,

[14:21.00]

عَلٰی اَنَّ ذٰلِكَ بَلَاۤءٌ وَّ مَكْرُوْہٌ قَلِیْلٌ مَكْثُہٗ یَسِیْرٌ بَقَاۤئُہٗ قَصِیْرٌ مُدَّتُہٗ

`ala an-na dha-lika bala-uw-wa mak-ruhun, qalilum-mak-thuhu, yasirum baqa-uhu, qasirum-mud-datuh

Even though it is a tribulation and ordeal whose stay is short, whose subsistence is but little and, whose period is but fleeting.

[14:41.00]

فَكَیْفَ احْتِمَالِیْ لِبَلَاۤءِ الْاٰخِرَۃِ وَ جَلِیْلِ وُقُوْعِ الْمَكَارِہِ فِیْھَا

fa-kayfah-timali li-bala-il-akhirati wa jalili wuqui'l-makarihi fiha!

So how can I endure the tribulations of the next world and the great ordeals that occur within it?

[14:51.00]

وَ ھُوَ بَلَاۤءٌ تَطُوْلُ مُدَّتُہٗ وَ یَدُوْمُ مَقَامُہٗ وَ لَا یُخَفَّفُ عَنْ اَھْلِہٖ

wa huwa bala-un tatulu mud-datuhu, wa yadumu maqamuhu, wa-la yukhaf-fafu `an ah-lih

For it is a tribulation whose period is long, whose station endures and whose sufferers are given no respite,

[15:04.00]

لِاَنَّہٗ لَا یَكُوْنُ اِلَّا عَنْ غَضَبِكَ وَ انْتِقَامِكَ وَ سَخَطِكَ

li-an-nahu la yakunu il-la `an ghadabika wan-tiqamika wa sakhatik

Since it only occurs as a result of Your wrath, Your vengeance and Your anger,

[15:13.00]

وَ ھٰذَا مَا لَا تَقُوْمُ لَہُ السَّمٰوَاتُ وَ الْاَرْضُ

wa hadha ma la taqumu lahus-samawatu wal-ardu

And these cannot be withstood by the heavens and the earth.

[15:20.00]

یَا سَیِّدِیْ فَكَیْفَ لِیْ

ya say-yidi fakayfa li

O Master, so what about me?!

[15:25.00]

وَ اَنَا عَبْدُكَ الضَّعِیْفُ الذَّلِیْلُ الْحَقِیْرُ الْمِسْكِیْنُ الْمُسْتَكِیْنُ

wa ana `abukad-dae'efudh-dhalilul-haqirul-mis-kinul-mus-takin

For I am Your weak, lowly, base, wretched and miserable slave.

[15:35.00]

یَا اِلٰھِیْ وَ رَبِّیْ وَ سَیِّدِیْ وَ مَوْلَایَ

ya ilahi wa rab-bi wa say-yidi wa maw-lay

My God! My Lord! My Master! My Protector!

[15:45.00]

لِاَیِّ الْاُمُوْرِ اِلَیْكَ اَشْكُوْ

li-ay-yil-umuri ilayka ash-ku

For which things would I complain to You?

[15:51.00]

وَ لِمَا مِنْھَا اَضِجُّ وَ اَبْكِیْ

wa lima minha adij-ju wa ab-ki

And for which of them would I lament and weep?

[15:58.00]

لِاَلِیْمِ الْعَذَابِ وَ شِدَّتِہٖ

li-alimil-`adhabi wa shid-datih

For the pain and severity of chastisement?

[16:04.00]

اَمْ لِطُوْلِ الْبَلَاۤءِ وَ مُدَّتِہٖ

am litulil-bala-i wa mud-datih

Or for the length and period of tribulation?

[16:10.00]

فَلَئِنْ صَیَّرْتَنِیْ لِلْعُقُوْبَاتِ مَعَ اَعْدَاۤئِكَ

fa-la-in say-yar-tani lil-u'qubati ma' a`da-ik

So if You takest me to the punishments with Your enemies,

[16:17.00]

وَ جَمَعْتَ بَیْنِیْ وَ بَیْنَ اَھْلِ بَلَاۤئِكَ

wa jama`ta bayni wa bayna ahli bala-ik

And gatherest me with the people of Your tribulation

[16:23.00]

وَ فَرَّقْتَ بَیْنِیْ وَ بَیْنَ اَحِبَّاۤئِكَ وَ اَوْلِیَاۤئِكَ

wa far-raq-ta bay-ni wa bay-na ahib-ba-ika wa aw-li-ya-ik

And separatest me from Your friends and saints,

[16:30.00]

فَھَبْنِیْ یَا اِلٰھِیْ وَ سَیِّدِیْ وَ مَوْلَایَ وَ رَبِّیْ صَبَرْتُ عَلٰی عَذَابِكَ

fa-hab-ni ya ilahi wasay-yidi wa mawlaya wa rab-bi sabar-tu `ala `adhabika

Then suppose, My God, my Master, my Protector and my Lord that I am able to endure Your chastisement,

[16:44.00]

فَكَیْفَ اَصْبِرُ عَلٰی فِرَاقِكَ

fakayfa as-biru `ala firaqika

How can I endure separation from You?

[16:50.00]

وَ ھَبْنِیْ صَبَرْتُ عَلٰی حَرِّ نَارِكَ

wa hab-ni sabar-tu `ala har-ri narika

And suppose that I am able to endure the heat of Your fire,

[16:56.00]

فَكَیْفَ اَصْبِرُ عَنِ النَّظَرِ اِلٰی كَرَامَتِكَ

fakayfa as-biru `an-nazari ila karamatik

How can I endure not gazing upon Your generosity?

[17:03.00]

اَمْ كَیْفَ اَسْكُنُ فِیْ النَّارِ وَ رَجَاۤئـِیْ عَفْوُكَ

am kayfa as-kunu fin-nari wa raja-i `af-wuk

Or how can I dwell in the Fire while my hope is Your pardon?

[17:12.00]

فَبِعِزَّتِكَ یَا سَیِّدِیْ وَ مَوْلَایَ اُقْسِمُ صَادِقًا لَئِنْ تَرَكْتَنِیْ نَاطِقًا

fabi-i'z-zatika ya say-yidi wa mawlaya uq-simu sadiqal-la-in tarak-tani natiqan

So by Your might, my Master and my protector, I swear sincerely, if You leavest me with speech,

[17:22.00]

لَاَضِجَّنَّ اِلَیْكَ بَیْنَ اَھْلِھَا ضَجِیْجَ الْاٰمِلِیْنَ

ladij-jan-na ilayka bayna ah-liha dajijal-amilin

I will lament to You from the midst of the Fire's inhabitants with lamentation of the hopeful;

[17:30.00]

وَ لَاَصْرُخَنَّ اِلَیْكَ صُرَاخَ الْمُسْتَصْرِخِیْنَ

wa lasrukhan-na ilayka surakhal-mus-tas-rikhin

I will cry to You with the cry of those crying for help;

[17:36.00]

وَ لَاَبْكِیَنَّ عَلَیْكَ بُكَاۤءَالْفَاقِدِیْنَ

wa-la-ab-ki-yan-na `ailayka buka-al-faqidin

I will weep to You with the weeping of the bereft;

[17:42.00]

وَ لَاُنَادِیَنَّكَ اَیْنَ كُنْتَ یَا وَلِیَّ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ

wa la-unadi-yan-naka ay-na kun-ta ya wali-yal-mu-minin

And I will call to You, Where art You, O Sponsor of the believers,

[17:49.00]

یَا غَایَۃَ اٰمَالِ الْعَارِفِیْنَ

ya ghayata a-malil-`arifin

O Goal of the hopes of Your knowers,

[17:56.00]

یَا غِیَاثَ الْمُسْتَغِیْثِیْنَ یَا غِیَاثَ الْمُسْتَغِیْثِیْنَ یَا غِیَاثَ الْمُسْتَغِیْثِیْنَ

ya ghiyathal-mus-taghithin,ya ghiyathal-mus-taghithin,ya ghiyathal-mus-taghithin

O Aid of those who seek assistance,

[18:14.00]

یَا حَبِیْبَ قُلُوْبِ الصَّادِقِیْنَ

ya habiba qulubis-sadiqin

O Friend of the hearts of the sincere

[18:18.00]

وَ یَا اِلٰہَ الْعَالَمِیْنَ

wa ya ilhal-`alamin

And O God of all the world's inhabitants!

[18:21.00]

اَفَتُرَاكَ سُبْحَانَكَ یَا اِلٰھِیْ وَ بِحَمْدِكَ تَسْمَعُ فِیْھَا صَوْتَ عَبْدٍ مُّسْلِمٍ

afaturaka sub-hanaka ya ilahi wa biham-dika tas-mau' fiha saw-ta `ab-dim-mus-limin

Canst You see Yourself — Glory be to You My God, and Thine is the praised — hearing within the Fire the voice of a slave surrendered to You,

[18:34.00]

سُجِنَ فِیْھَا بِمُخَالَفَتِہٖ

sujina fiha bi-mukhalafatih

Imprisoned there because of his violations,

[18:39.00]

وَ ذَاقَ طَعْمَ عَذَابِھَا بِمَعْصِیَتِہٖ

wa dhaqa ta`ma `adhabiha bi-ma`si-yatih

Tasting the favour of its torment because of his disobedience,

[18:44.00]

وَ حُبِسَ بَیْنَ اَطْبَاقِھَا بِجُرْمِہٖ وَ جَرِیْرَتِہٖ

wa hubisa bayna at-baqiha bijur-mih wa jariratih

And confined within its levels because of his sin and crime,

[18:51.00]

وَ ھُوَ یَضِجُّ اِلَیْكَ ضَجِیْجَ مُؤَمِّلٍ لِرَحْمَتِكَ

wa huwa yadij-ju ilayka dajija muammilil-lirah-mat-k

While he laments to You with the lament of one hopeful for Your mercy,

[18:59.00]

وَ یُنَادِیْكَ بِلِسَانِ اَھْلِ تَوْحِیْدِكَ

wa yunadika bi-lisani ahli taw-hidik

And calls to You with the tongue of those who profess Your Unity

[19:05.00]

وَ یَتَوَسَّلُ اِلَیْكَ بِرُبُوْبِیَّتِكَ

wa yatawas-salu ilayka bi-rububi-yatik

And entreats You by Your lordship!

[19:10.00]

یَا مَوْلَایَ فَكَیْفَ یَبْقٰی فِی الْعَذَابِ وَ ھُوَ یَرْجُوْ مَا سَلَفَ مِنْ حِلْمِكَ

ya mawlay fa-kayfa yabqa fil-`adhabi wa huwa yar-ju ma salafa min hil-mik

My Protector, so how should he remain in the chastisement, while he has hope for Your previous clemency?

[19:24.00]

اَمْ كَیْفَ تُؤْلِمُہُ النَّارُ وَ ھُوَ یَاْمُلُ فَضْلَكَ وَ رَحْمَتَكَ

am kayfa tu-limuhun-naru wa huwa ya-malu fadlaka wa rah-mataka

Or how should the Fire cause him pain while he expects Your bounty and mercy?

[19:32.00]

اَمْ كَیْفَ یُحْرِقُہٗ لَھِیْبُھَا وَ اَنْتَ تَسْمَعُ صَوْتَہٗ وَ تَرٰی مَكَانَہٗ

am kayfa yuh-riquhu lahibuha wa anta tas-mau' saw-tahu wa tara makanah

Or how should its flames burn him, while You hearest his voice and seest his place?

[19:43.00]

اَمْ كَیْفَ یَشْتَمِلُ عَلَیْہِ زَفِیْرُھَا وَ اَنْتَ تَعْلَمُ ضَعْفَہٗ

am kayfa yash-tamilu `ailayhi zafiruha wa anta ta`lamu da`fah

Or how should its groaning encompass him, while You knowest his weakness?

[19:51.00]

اَمْ كَیْفَ یَتَقَلْقَلُ بَیْنَ اَطْبَاقِھَا وَ اَنْتَ تَعْلَمُ صِدْقَہٗ

am kayfa yataqalqalu bayna at-baqiha wa anta ta`lamu sid-qah

Or how should he be convulsed among its levels, while You knowest his sincerity?

[19:59.00]

اَمْ كَیْفَ تَزْجُرُہٗ زَبَانِیَّتُھَا وَ ھُوَ یُنَادِیْكَ یَا رَبَّہُ

am kayfa tazjuruhu zabani-yatuha wa huwa yunadika ya rab-bah

Or how should its keepers torture him while he calls out to You, O Lord?

[20:09.00]

اَمْ كَیْفَ یَرْجُوْ فَضْلَكَ فِیْ عِتْقِہٖ مِنْھَا فَتَتْرُكْہٗ فِیْھَا

am kayfa yar-ju fadlaka fi i't-qihi minha fatat-rukuhu fiha

Or how should he have hope of Your bounty in freeing him from it, while You abandonest him within it?

[20:19.00]

ھَیْھَاتَ مَا ذٰلِكَ الظَّنُّ بِكَ

hayhat ma dhalikaz-zan-nu bik

Far be it from You! That is not what is expected of You,

[20:25.00]

وَ لَا الْمَعْرُوْفُ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ

wa-lal-ma`rufu min fadlik

Nor what is well-known of Your bounty,

[20:30.00]

وَ لَا مُشْبِہٌ لِمَا عَامَلْتَ بِہِ الْمُوَحِّدِیْنَ مِنْ بِرِّكَ وَ اِحْسَانِكَ

wa-la mush-biha lima `amal-ta bihil-muah-hidina mim bir-rika wa ih-sanik

Nor it is similar to the goodness and kindness You hast shown to those who profess Your Unity.

[20:39.00]

فَبِالْیَقِیْنِ اَقْطَعُ لَوْلَا مَا حَكَمْتَ بِہٖ مِنْ تَعْذِیْبِ جَاحِدِیْكَ

fa-bial-yaqini aq-tau' law-la ma hakam-ta bihi min ta`dhibi jahidik

So I declare with certainty that were it not for what You hast decreed concerning the chastisement of Your deniers

[20:49.00]

وَ قَضَیْتَ بِہٖ مِنْ اِخْلَادِ مُعَانِدِیْكَ

wa qadayta bihi min ikh-laydi mu`anidik

And what You hast foreordained concerning the everlasting home of those who stubbornly resist,

[20:55.00]

لَجَعَلْتَ النَّارَ كُلَّھَا بَرْدًا وَّ سَلَامًا

laja'l-tan-nara kul-laha bar-daw-wa salama

You wouldst make the Fire, all of it, coolness and safety,

[21:01.00]

وَّ مَا كَانَ لِاَحَدٍ فِیْھَا مَقَرًّا وَّ لَا مُقَامًا

wa ma kana li-ahadin fiha maqar-raw-wa-la muqama

And no one would have a place of rest or abode within it.

[21:09.00]

لٰكِنَّكَ تَقَدَّسَتْ اَسْمَاۤؤُكَ اَقْسَمْتَ اَنْ تَمْلَاَھَا مِنَ الْكٰفِرِیْنَ

lakin-naka taqad-dasat as-ma-uka aq-sam-ta an tam-laha minal-kafirina;

But You—holy are Your Names—hast sworn that You wilt fill it with the unbelievers,

[21:20.00]

مِنَ الْجِنَّۃِ وَ النَّاسِ اَجْمَعِیْنَ

minal-jin-nati wan-nasi aj-m`ain

Both Jinn and men together,

[21:25.00]

وَ اَنْ تُخَلِّدَ فِیْھَا الْمُعَانِدِیْنَ

wa-an tukhal-lida fihal-mu`anidin

And that You wilt place those who stubbornly resist therein forever.

[21:31.00]

وَ اَنْتَ جَلَّ ثَنَاۤؤُكَ قُلْتَ مُبْتَدِءًا وَ تَطَوَّلْتَ بِالْاِنْعَامِ مُتَكَرِّمًا

wa anta jal-la thana-uka qul-ta mub-tadiwaw-wa tataw-wal-ta bil-in-`ami mutakar-rima

And You— majestic is Your eulogy— said at the beginning and wernt gracious through kindness as a favour,

[21:43.00]

اَفَمَنْ كَانَ مُؤْمِنًا كَمَنْ كَانَ فَاسِقًا لَا یَسْتَوُوْنَ

afaman kana muminan kaman kana fasiqal-la yas-tawun

(What? Is he who has been believer like unto him who has been ungodly? They are not equal)

[21:51.00]

اِلٰھِیْ وَ سَیِّدِیْ فَاَسْئَلُكَ بِالْقُدْرَۃِ الَّتِیْ قَدَّرْتَھَا

ilahi wa say-yidi fa-as-aluka bial-qud-ratil-lati qad-dartaha

My God and my Master! So I ask You by the power You hast apportioned

[22:03.00]

وَ بِالْقَضِیَّۃِ الَّتِیْ حَتَمْتَھَا وَ حَكَمْتَھَا وَ غَلَبْتَ مَنْ عَلَیْہِ اَجْرَیْتَھَا

wa bil-qadi-yatil-lati hatam-taha wa hakam-taha wa ghalab-ta man `ailayhi aj-raytaha

And by the decision which You hast determined and imposed and through which You hast overcome him toward whom it has been put into effect,

[22:14.00]

اَنْ تَھَبَ لِیْ فِیْ ھٰذِہِ اللَّیْلَۃِ وَ فِیْ ھٰذِہِ السَّاعَۃِ

an tahaba li fi hadhihil-laylati wa fi hadhihis-sa'ah

That You forgivest me in this night and at this hour

[22:24.00]

كُلَّ جُرْمٍ اَجْرَمْتُہٗ

kul-la jur-min aj-ram-tuh

Every offence I have committed,

[22:30.00]

وَ كُلَّ ذَنْبٍ اَذْنَبْتُہٗ

wa kul-la dham-bin adhnab-tuh

And every sin I have performed,

[22:36.00]

وَ كُلَّ قَبِیْحٍ اَسْرَرْتُہٗ

wa kul-la qabihin as-rar-tuh

And every ugly thing I have concealed

[22:42.00]

وَ كُلَّ جَھْلٍ عَمِلْتُہٗ

wa kul-la jah-lin `amil-tuhu,

And every folly I have enacted

[22:47.00]

كَتَمْتُہٗ اَوْ اَعْلَنْتُہٗ

katam-tuhuo aw a`lan-tuhu,

Whether I have hidden or announced it,

[22:52.00]

اَخْفَیْتُہٗ اَوْ اَظْھَرْتُہٗ

akhfaytuhuo aw azhar-tuh

Or I have concealed it or manifested it

[22:55.00]

وَ كُلَّ سَیِّئَۃٍ اَمَرْتَ بِاِثْبَاتِھَا الْكِرَامَ الْكَاتِبِیْنَ

wa kul-la say-yi-atin amarta bi-ith-batihayal-kiramal-katibin

And every evil act which You hast commanded the Noble Writers to record,

[23:03.00]

الَّذِیْنَ وَكَّلْتَھُمْ بِحِفْظِ مَا یَكُوْنُ مِنِّیْ

al-ladhina wak-kal-tahum bi-hif-zi ma yakunu min-ni

Those whom You hast appointed to watch over what appears from me

[23:10.00]

وَ جَعَلْتَھُمْ شُھُوْدًا عَلَیَّ مَعَ جَوَارِحِیْ

wa ja'l-tahum shuhudan `alay-ya ma' jawarihi

And whom You hast made, along with my bodily members, witness against me.

[23:17.00]

وَ كُنْتَ اَنْتَ الرَّقِیْبَ عَلَیَّ مِنْ وَّرَاۤئِھِمْ

wa kunta antar-raqiba `alay-ya miw-wara-ihim

And You wast Yourself the Watcher over me from behind them,

[23:23.00]

وَالشَّاھِدَ لِمَا خَفِیَ عَنْھُمْ

wash-shahida lima khafiya `an-hum

And the Witness of what is hidden from them

[23:28.00]

وَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ اَخْفَیْتَہٗ

wa bi-rah-matika akh-faytahu

But through Your mercy You concealed it

[23:34.00]

وَ بِفَضْلِكَ سَتَرْتَہٗ

wa bifadlika satar-tah

And through Your bounty You veiled it.

[23:40.00]

وَ اَنْ تُوَفِّرَ حَظِّیْ مِنْ كُلِّ خَیْرٍ اَنْزَلْتَہٗ

wa an tuwf-fira haz-zi min kul-li khayrin tunziluh

[And I ask You] that You bestowest upon me an abundant share of every good You sendest down,

[23:46.00]

اَوْ اِحْسَانٍ فَضَّلْتَہٗ

aw ih-sanin tuf-diluh

Or kindness You conferrest,

[23:50.00]

اَوْ بِرٍّ نَشَرْتَہٗ

aw bir-rin tan-shiruhu

Or goodness You unfoldest,

[23:54.00]

اَوْ رِزْقٍ بَسَطْتَہٗ

aw rizqin tab-sutuh

Or provision You spreadest out,

[23:57.00]

اَوْ ذَنْبٍ تَغْفِرُہٗ

aw dham-bin tagh-firuyhu

Or sin You forgivest,

[24:01.00]

اَوْخَطَاۤءٍ تَسْتُرُہٗ

aw khatain tas-turuhu

Or error You coverest.

[24:05.00]

یَا رَبِّ یَا رَبِّ یَا رَبِّ یَا رَبِّ یَا رَبِّ یَا رَبِّ یَا رَبِّ

ya rab-bi ya rab-bi ya rabb ,ya rab-bi ya rab-bi ya rabb,ya rab-bi ya rab-bi ya rabb

My Lord! My Lord! My Lord!

[24:29.00]

یَا اِلٰھِیْ وَ سَیِّدِیْ وَ مَوْلَایَ وَمَالِكَ رِقِّیْ

ya ilahi wa say-yidi wa maw-laya wa malika riq-qi

My God! My Master! My Protector! Owner of my bondage!

[24:36.00]

یَا مَنْ بِیَدِہٖ نَاصِیَتِیْ

ya mam bi-yadihi nasi-yati

O He in whose hand is my forelock!

[24:40.00]

یَا عَلِیْمًا بِضُرِّیْ وَ مَسْكَنَتِیْ

ya `alimam biduri wa mas-kanati

O He who knows my affliction and my misery!

[24:45.00]

یَا خَبِیْرًا بِفَقْرِیْ وَ فَاقَتِیْ

ya khabiram bi-faq-ri wa faqati

O He who is aware of my poverty and indigence!

[24:51.00]

یَا رَبِّ یَا رَبِّ یَا رَبِّ یَا رَبِّ یَا رَبِّ یَا رَبِّ یَا رَبِّ

ya rab-bi ya ya rab-bi ya rabb,ya rab-bi ya ya rab-bi ya rabb,ya rab-bi ya ya rab-bi ya rabb

My Lord! My Lord! My Lord!

[25:14.00]

اَسْئَلُكَ بِحَقِّكَ وَ قُدْسِكَ

as-aluka bi-haq-qika wa qud-sik

I ask You by Your Truth and Your Holiness

[25:19.00]

وَاَعْظَمِ صِفَاتِكَ وَ اَسْمَاۤئِكَ

wa a`zami sifatika wa as-ma-ika

And the greatest of Your Attributes and Names,

[25:24.00]

اَنْ تَجْعَلَ اَوْقَاتِیْ مِنَ اللَّیْلِ وَ النَّھَارِ بِذِكْرِكَ مَعْمُوْرَۃً

an taj-`ala aw-qati fil-layli wan-nahari bi-dhik-rika ma`murah

That You makest my times in the night and the day inhabited by Your remembrance,

[25:33.00]

وَ بِخِدْمَتِكَ مَوْصُوْلَۃً

wa bikhid-matika maw-sulah

And joined to Your service

[25:38.00]

وَ اَعْمَالِیْ عِنْدَكَ مَقْبُوْلَۃً

wa a`mali i'ndaka maq-bulah

And my works acceptable to You,

[25:42.00]

حَتّٰی تَكُوْنَ اَعْمَالِیْ وَ اَوْرَادِیْ كُلّھَا وِرْدًا وَّاحِدًا

hat-ta takuna a`mali wa aw-radi kul-luha wir-daw-wahidan

So that my works and my litanies may all be a single litany

[25:50.00]

وَ حَالِیْ فِیْ خِدْمَتِكَ سَرْمَدًا

wa hali fi khid-matika sar-mada

And my occupation with Your service everlasting.

[25:56.00]

یَا سَیِّدِیْ یَا مَنْ عَلَیْہِ مُعَوَّلِیْ

ya say-yidi ya man `ailayhi mu`aw-wali

My Master! O He upon whom I depend!

[26:02.00]

یَا مَنْ اِلَیْہِ شَكَوْتُ اَحْوَالِیْ

ya man ilayhi shakaw-tu ah-wali

O He to whom I complain about my states!

[26:08.00]

یَا رَبِّ یَا رَبِّ یَا رَبِّ یَا رَبِّ یَا رَبِّ یَا رَبِّ یَا رَبِّ

ya rab-bi ya rab-bi ya rabb ,ya rab-bi ya rab-bi ya rabb,ya rab-bi ya rab-bi ya rabb

My Lord! My Lord! My Lord!

[26:32.00]

قَوِّ عَلٰی خِدْمَتِكَ جَوَارِحِیْ

qaw-wi `ala khid-matika jawarihi

Strengthen my bodily members in Your service,

[26:38.00]

وَ اشْدُدْ عَلَی الْعَزِیْمَۃِ جَوَانِحِیْ

wash-dud `alal-`azimati jawanihi

And fortify my ribs in determination

[26:43.00]

وَ ھَبْ لِیَ الْجِدَّ فِیْ خَشْیَتِكَ

wa hab liyal-jid-da fi khash-yatik

And bestow upon me earnestness in my fear of You

[26:50.00]

وَالدَّوٰمَ فِی الْاِتِّصَالِ بِخِدْمَتِكَ

wad-dawama fil-at-itisali bikhid-matik

And continuity in my being joined to Your service

[26:55.00]

حَتّٰی اَسْرَحَ اِلَیْكَ فِیْ مَیَادِیْنِ السَّابِقِیْنَ

hat-ta as-raha ilayka fi maya-dinis-sabiqin

So that I may move easily toward You in the battlefields of the foremost

[27:02.00]

وَ اُسْرِعَ اِلَیْكَ فِی الْبَارِزِیْنَ

wa us-ri`a ilayka fil-mubadirin

And hurry to You among the prominent

[27:06.00]

وَاشْتَاقَ اِلٰی قُرْبِكَ فِی الْمُشْتَاقِیْنَ

wa ash-taqa ila qur-bika fil-mush-taqin

And desire fervently Your proximity among the fervently desirous

[27:12.00]

"وَ اَدْنُوَ مِنْكَ دُنُوَّ الْمُخْلِصِیْنَ"

wa ad-nua minka dunu-wal-mukh-lisin

And move nearer to You with the nearness of the sincere

[27:17.00]

وَ اَخَافَكَ مَخَافَۃَ الْمُوْقِنِیْنَ

wa akhafaka makhafatal-muqinin

And fear You with the fear of those who have certitude

[27:22.00]

وَ اجْتَمِعَ فِیْ جَوَارِكَ مَعَ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ

wa aj-tami`a fi jiwarika ma'l-mu-mnin

And gather with the believers in Your vicinity.

[27:28.00]

اَللّٰھُمَّ وَ مَنْ اَرَادَ نِیْ بِسُوْۤءٍ فَاَرِدْہُ

allahumma wa man aradani bisuo-in farid-hu

O Allah, whoever desires evil for me, desire [it] for him!

[27:35.00]

وَ مَنْ كَادَنِیْ فَكِدْہُ

wa man kadani fakid-hu

whoever deceives me-deceive him!

[27:38.00]

وَاجْعَلْنِیْ مِنْ اَحْسَنِ عَبِیْدِكَ نَصِیْبًا عِنْدَكَ

waj-`alni min ahasani `abidika nasiban i'ndaka

And make me one of the most excellent of Your slaves in Portion from You,

[27:45.00]

وَ اَقْرَبِھِمْ مَنْزِلَۃً مِّنْكَ

wa aq-rabihim-manzilatam-mink

And the nearest of them in station to You

[27:51.00]

وَ اَخَصِّھِمْ زُلْفَۃً لَدَیْكَ

wa akhas-sihim zul-fatal-ladayk

And the most elected of them in proximity to You.

[27:55.00]

فَاِنَّہٗ لَا یُنَالُ ذٰلِكَ اِلَّا بِفَضْلِكَ

fa-in-nahu la yunalu dha-lika il-la bi-fadlik

For that cannot be attained except by Your bounty.

[28:02.00]

وَ جُدْ لِیْ بِجُوْدِكَ

wa jud li bijudik

And grant generously to me through Your munificence,

[28:07.00]

وَ اعْطِفْ عَلَیَّ بِمَجْدِكَ

w`a-tif `alay-ya bi-maj-dik

And incline toward me with Your splendour

[28:13.00]

وَاحْفَظْنِیْ بِرَحْمَتِكَ

wah-fazni birah-matik

And protect me with Your mercy!

[28:18.00]

وَاجْعَلْ لِسَانِیْ بِذِكْرِكَ لَھِجًا

waj-`al-lisani bidhik-rika lahija

And make my tongue remember You without ceasing

[28:24.00]

وَ قَلْبِیْ بِحُبِّكَ مُتَیَّمًا

wa qal-bi bi-hub-bika mutay-yama

And my heart enthralled by Your love!

[28:30.00]

وَ مُنَّ عَلَیَّ بِحُسْنِ اِجَابَتِكَ

wa mun-na `alay-ya bihus-ni ijabatik

And be gracious to me by answering me favourably,

[28:36.00]

وَ اَقِلْنِیْ عَثْرَتِیْ

wa aqil-ni `ath-rati

And nullify my slips

[28:41.00]

وَاغْفِرْ زَلَّتِیْ

wagh-fir zal-lati

And forgive my lapses!

[28:46.00]

فَاِنَّكَ قَضَیْتَ عَلٰی عِبَادِكَ بِعِبَادَتِكَ

fa-in-naka qadayta `ala i'badika bi-i'badatik

For You hast decreed Your worship for Your servants

[28:53.00]

وَ اَمَرْتَھُمْ بِدُعَاۤئِكَ

wa amar-tahum bidu`aa-ika

And commanded them to supplicate You

[28:57.00]

وَ ضَمِنْتَ لَھُمُ الْاِجَابَۃَ

wa daminta lahumul-ijabah

And assured them that they would be answered.

[29:02.00]

فَاِلَیْكَ یَارَبِّ نَصَبْتُ وَجْھِیْ

fa-ilayka ya rab-bi nasab-tu waj-hi

So toward You, my Lord, I have turned my face

[29:07.00]

وَ اِلَیْكَ یَا رَبِّ مَدَدْتُ یَدِیْوَ اِلَیْكَ

wa ilayka ya rab-bi madad-tu yadi

And toward You, my Lord, I have extended my hand.

[29:12.00]

فَبِعِزَّتِكَ اسْتَجِبْ لِیْ دُعَاۤئـِیْ

fa-bi-i'z-zatikas-tajib li du`aa-i

So by Your might, comply with my supplication

[29:17.00]

وَ بَلِّغْنِیْ مُنَایَ

wa bal-ligh-ni munay

And make me attain my desires!

[29:22.00]

وَ لَا تَقْطَعْ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ رَجَاۤئـِیْ

wa-la taq-ta' min fadlika raja-i

Do not severe my hoping for Your Favours

[29:27.00]

وَاكْفِنِیْ شَرَّ الْجِنِّ وَ الْاِنْسِ مِنْ اَعْدَاۤئـِیْ

wak-fini shar-ral-jin-ni wal-in-si min a`da-i

And spare me the evil of my enemies from among the jinn and men!

[29:35.00]

یَا سَرِیْعَ الرِّضَا یَا سَرِیْعَ الرِّضَا یَا سَرِیْعَ الرِّضَا

ya sari-y`ar-rida,ya sari-y`ar-rida,ya sari-y`ar-rida

O He, whose pleasure is quickly achieved!

[29:52.00]

اِغْفِرْ لِمَنْ لَا یَمْلِكُ اِلَّا الدُّعَاۤءَ

igh-fir liman-la yam-liku il-lad-du`aa

Forgive him who owns nothing but supplication

[29:59.00]

فَاِنَّكَ فَعَّالٌ لِمَا تَشَاۤءُ

fa-in-naka fa`alul-lima tasha

For You dost what You wilt.

[30:06.00]

یَا مَنِ اسْمُہٗ دَوَاۤءٌ

ya manis-muhu dawa-un

O He whose Name is a remedy,

[30:11.00]

وَّ ذِكْرُہٗ شِفَاۤءٌ

wa dhik-ruhu shifa-un

And whose remembrance is a cure,

[30:16.00]

وَ طَاعَتُہٗ غِنًی

wa ta'tuhu ghinan

And whose obedience is wealth!

[30:21.00]

اِرْحَمْ مَنْ رَاْسُ مَالِہِ الرَّجَاۤءُ

ir-ham-mar-ra-su malihir-raja

Have mercy upon him whose capital is hope

[30:28.00]

وَ سِلَاحُہُ الْبُكَاۤءُ

wa silahuhul-buka-u

And whose weapon is tears!

[30:33.00]

یَا سَابِغَ النِّعَمِ

ya sabighan-ni`am

O Ample in blessings!

[30:38.00]

یَا دَافِعَ النِّقَمِ

ya dafi`an-niqam

O Repeller of adversities!

[30:43.00]

یَا نُوْرَ الْمُسْتَوْحِشِیْنَ فِی الظُّلَمِ

ya nural-mus-taw-hishina fiz-zulami

O Light of those who are lonely in the darkness!

[30:50.00]

یَا عَالِمًا لَا یُعَلَّمُ

ya `alimal-la yu`al-lam

O Knower who was never taught!

[30:55.00]

صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

sal-li `ala muhammad wa a-li muhammadin

Bless Muhammad and Muhammad's household!

[30:59.00]

وَافْعَلْ بِیْ مَا اَنْتَ اَھْلُہٗ

waf-`al bi ma anta ah-luh

And do with me what is worthy of You!

[31:07.00]

وَ صَلَّی اﷲُ عَلٰی رَسُوْلِہٖ وَالْاَئِمَّۃِ الْمَیَامِیْنَ مِنْ اٰلِہٖ

wa sal-lallahu `ala rasulihi wal-aimmatil-mayamina min a-lihi

And Allah bless His messenger and the holy Imams of his household

[31:18.00]

وَ سَلَّمَ تَسْلِیْمًا كَثِیْرًا

wa sal-lama tas-liman kathira

And give them abundant peace!
